Our Points of Pride
Comanche Springs Elementary is a close-knit and inclusive community where students, staff, and families work together to support one another and celebrate growth. Our Spurs thrive in an environment where every child is valued, and where strong comradery fosters connection and school pride, including:
- A diverse student population, with children representing 23 different languages
- A family-oriented culture supported by strong PTA involvement and active community engagement
- Longevity in staff, creating a stable and experienced team committed to student success
- Student Ambassador and Kindness Club members serve as leaders and role models for their peers
- A highly respected school counselor recognized by both HEB and Region 11 for outstanding service
Our History
Comanche Springs Elementary opened in 2007 as part of the 2002 EMS ISD Bond Election, with a campus footprint of 92,020 square feet. The campus was led by founding principal Melanie Stitt, who helped establish the school’s strong foundation and commitment to excellence.
Over the years, the school has received several facility upgrades to support safety, functionality, and student experience.
Through the 2017 Bond, the campus added a controlled vestibule, enhanced security cameras, new flooring, an updated public address system, and improved exterior signage. The 2023 Bond brought playground resurfacing and a full gym floor replacement.
Comanche Springs continues to grow and evolve as a place where students are celebrated, challenged, and supported every day.
The Community We Serve
We serve the students of Fossil Park at Watersbend, Watersbend (North and South), and Bar C Ranch.
Our campus feeds into a collaborative network of secondary schools that share our mission of academic excellence and student empowerment.
Our feeder campuses include:
- Prairie Vista Middle School
- Eagle Mountain High School
